So much to tell..

Hello everyone.....
I have so much new news...
I cannot believe we are almost into MARCH! Time is just flying by,,
we had a wonderful weekend a few weeks ago in Bend Oregon!
Our favoirite Ski area, we have good friends there and always have the BEST time.. I got to do a little Antiquing while there, went to some fabulous fun stores!
I have a couple stores there who carry my jewelry line , so that kept me busy going to visit them and take MORE HUGE orders!..
The kids took friends and we rented a Fabulous Large
home that we all had some great laughs in! ..
We seem to always look at homes to buy while there, its just a place we would like to maybe move someday..
We have a condo in Lake Chelan that we sure enjoy as well..
Well I also got to go to a Art retreat with a good friend I met at another art retreat! seems I always come away from those with new found friends Which i LOVE!..
One whom I met lives right NEXT door to my brother ! how is that for FATE! we now talk daily and enjoy it totally..
anyways back to the retreat, it was in San Juan Islands, we took a ferry to get to our destination, stayed in this fabulous Bed and Breakfast, and enjoyed the MOST amazing women teaching us all new jewelry tricks, and WERE they ever OMG, I was SOO amazed, I mean totally could NOT believe how these women taught us so much and encouraged us to use them in our life daily, I told them I was now teaching and they were SO EXCITED and told me to spread the LOVE of art...!
These gals were true EDUCATORS, I had never seen or been to anything like this... I will soon show you all pictures of what we made... I will say the wheels are spinning now !! designing jewelry is never ending learning , you just learn so much with every class.. this by far was the BEST class EVER.. it was two days to total education ..
My sister and I had a GREAT Birthday, tomorrow is my moms Birthday, sure wish she was here to celebrate it with her! shes been gone now almost 8 years, I just cannot believe it, our Birthdays were always celebrated together, so there is always an empty feeling without her.. I look back and cannot believe how young I was when My mother passed, and then realize even more how young my kids were.. its really a reality check..
My new friend in San Diego, is so FUN, she is Hosting me and 4 friends to come stay at her home while i teach 4 days of soldering workshops there.
My brother lives only a few homes away from her, so we will jump from home to home.. Bobbie the wonderful women who's hosting these retreats at her home is so excited we are coming, her home is often featured in the Magazine San Diego... her home is a mansion and is MISSION HILLS! its on the knob over looking the mission valley and you can see San Diego shine... we have so much fun things planned for that retreat ! if your looking for something FUN to do in April then you better go check it out.. http://www.terribrushdesigns.com/
I have had SO many emails from so many people excited to come to my workshops , its really opened a whole new branch of life..!
Once you take a class your HOOKED!..
well enjoy the last few days of February! ..
I missed all the fun at the grand opening of the QUEEN OF TARTE show, I can only imagine how fantastic it was, Cindy is amazing, she is so much like my good friend Ilona Steelhammer a well known artists and home interior designer, they just have magic finger! I cannot wait for Cindy's next show! also BARNHOUSE! if you have never seen either of these shows, find them on my blog roll to the right , and keep your eyes open for there next events.. all I can say is FABULOUS!...
Oh I forgot, my hubby got me all kinds of COOL new jewelry toys for my birthday, one was a New Glass laser Ring SAW! it cuts ANYTHING any shape ! I know WHAT girl wants tools for her birthday! LOL.. ME!!

This one probably doesnt need much explanation! .. at least this one had toilet paper!!

This is a very fancy restaurant.. you go in and sit down, then you come a few steps out the door to this market and order your food!..see the aligator! it all kinda freaked me out, all the live animals waiting to be ate! these were not live of course but most were.. dead chickens hanging .. it was a real eye opener.. this wasnt a good day for me, it really botherd me.. I didnt eat a thing the first 3 days here, I was totally in culture shock.. BIG TIME! I thought Mexico was a culture shock... well not compared to this life.. This is a market out of Shantou, it was a village where these people had never seen americans! it was pretty amazing, they all followed us everywhere.. look at our Hair! it was 95 degrees and 100 % humidity, can you say MELT!
This is Kat and Rex Nekkola, he is a well known artist who thank gosh was traveling with us! he goes quite often so her knew the ropes.. and some good back streets to do some fun alley shopping! LOL..

same market.. They were all tugging on our clothes to buy from them.. very friendly people.. when we arrived they announced something over the intercom and they all RAN to see us!! LOL

Im TAGGED! and its CHINA!

I've been TAGGED!!! Ginny Diezel has tagged me in this fun game.. you get a picture out of your 4th folder and it needs to be the 4th picture then tag 4 ther people to ...... well I have added a few more, but this is my 4th folder picture.... its while I was in Shantou China, this is one of their vehicles, anything that has a motor and is drivable is a car there no Rules! these were everywhere with about 15 people hanging on!! This is a banana farm, Roy the one in the blue stripped shirt owns the papier mache factory, and he took us to his uncles farm... this is in there family room.. it was about 95 degrees with 100% humidity! we were melting LOL.. the women leaning over in the background , was washing us up some goodies to eat, I chose NOT to eat, as the machete she is using she had just CHOPPED the head off something and didn't even wash it, the water to wash up looked like chocolate milk!!... my eyes were WIDE OPEN!! what a way of life they all live, such hard life and work 12 hours days 7 days a week.. very friendly people .. non spoke English so Roy was translating... I guess I insulted them when i wouldn't eat but I just couldn't do it...! :(

This is in a papier mache factory in Shantou, it was SOOOOOO FUN! I was in heaven seeing all this work being made, some of my papier mache pieces were on the line being painted and I could not believe it.. the fumes in this factory were so strong, we had to run outside for air quite often...

another picture in the papier mache factory, this day was worth my whole trip.... although I was scared most the time with such culture shock, it was amazing to see them all so happy working..

Here is CY the owner of the company I was working with, my friend Kat who was also a buyer, and Rex Nekkola who came with us also buying.. Thanks GOSH Rex was with us, he had been several times, and by the 2ND week we were all sneaking out of our hotels, and shopping in dark alleys!! We were told to stay in at night, but ya know sometimes we don't what we are told... of course we had to go buy purses! and i think Rex came home with more purses then us gals did! we made him bring one for every sister !!

This is out our hotel room window, we were on the 36 th floor! ACKKK.. the first night the room rocked and rolled in a huge thunder storm! i thought it was an earthquake!! scared the livin *@%@$ out of ME!..

again in Shantou, LOVED the papier mache sights.. its all DEEP secrets, we drive down a road, and all the sudden we turn sharp and a HUGE gate opens and we go in it closes behind us, and we are in a private gated factory.. They keep them PRIVATE so no one steals what they are working on... its all VERY confidential.. I was surprised we got to take pictures..

More papier mache.. it also was VERY toxic in here, it burnt your throat after only about 15 seconds, but we kept going back.. too MUCH to see...
